Take back control of your relationship with alcohol
Are you worried about your drinking, but not sure what to do about it?
Maybe you’re drinking more often than you’d like, finding it difficult to cut down, or using alcohol to cope with stress, anxiety or everyday life.
You don’t have to wait until things get worse.
I provide confidential, practical and non-judgemental alcohol coaching to help you understand your drinking and make positive changes.
You don’t need to consider yourself an alcoholic to ask for help.
Perhaps you’ve tried to cut down before. Maybe you’ve had periods without alcohol but eventually returned to old habits. Or perhaps you’re simply uncomfortable with the place alcohol has started to occupy in your life.
Whatever your situation, talking to someone can help.
There is no judgement here. Just honest conversation and practical support.
Together, we’ll look at what’s happening with your drinking and what you want to change.
We can explore:
We’ll then work together on practical steps that fit your circumstances.

I’ve been where many of my clients are today.
For years, alcohol was part of my life in ways I wasn’t happy with. Eventually I decided that something had to change.
I’ve now been sober for over five years, and I’ve dedicated my working life to helping others understand and change their relationship with alcohol.
I know how difficult it can be to admit that alcohol has become a problem.
You don’t need to be embarrassed, and you don’t need to have all the answers.
We can start with a conversation.
1. Free consultation
We’ll have a confidential conversation about your drinking and what you’d like to change.
2. Understand your situation
We’ll look at your habits, triggers, challenges and goals.
3. Make a plan
If coaching is right for you, we’ll agree on practical steps to help you move forward.
4. Keep moving forward
We’ll review your progress, deal with challenges and adapt your approach when necessary.
No pressure. No judgement. Just support.

Do I have to stop drinking completely?
Not necessarily. We’ll discuss your circumstances and goals and explore the most appropriate options for you.
Is alcohol coaching the same as AA?
No. Alcohol coaching is a personalised, one-to-one approach. You can also use coaching alongside other forms of support.
What if I’m not sure whether I have a drinking problem?
That’s exactly what an initial conversation can help with. You don’t need a diagnosis or a label before asking for support.
Can we work online?
Yes. Online coaching is available throughout the UK.
Is coaching suitable if I’m physically dependent on alcohol?
Alcohol withdrawal can be dangerous. If you may be physically dependent on alcohol, you should seek medical advice before stopping or significantly reducing your drinking. Coaching does not replace medical treatment.
You don’t have to work everything out before you get in touch.

Martin has been my coach since last year. It was actually my second attempt at sobriety. The first one I failed miserably, so when I met Martin I was in a bad way. Alcohol was taking over my life, lying to me and giving me false confidence to name a few, I was caught in a downward spiral. I remember I initially wanted a female coach, wrongly thinking I would relate better to a woman. How wrong I was, it’s about the right coach not their gender. From the very first chat with Martin I knew he was going to be the person to get me out of this vicious circle of self destruction that I was in. Martin’s straight talking, no nonsense approach with me was just what I needed, he sensed what I needed to hear and not what I wanted to hear. I knew his life experiences was what motivated him to really want to help people like me, and I felt that all through the long journey I had with him. He was there for me through all the ups and downs, never judging, always encouraging and all the time keeping me aware of the real problem, alcohol. He taught me how to stay focused on my goals and ignore the little voice that said ‘go on one won’t hurt’!
I have just had my last session with Martin and I honestly don’t recognise myself, I am more confident, outgoing, focused and planning ahead to a much brighter future. But, all the time hearing Martin’s voice reminding me to never become complacent about the evil drug that is alcohol.
Thank you Martin for giving me my life back.
